Support

At the study centre in Essen, Chinese students find all the services and facilities they need while they are studying and living in Germany. With altogether six members of staff, the support team offers assistance in all matters.
The students are thoroughly prepared for their stay abroad even before they come to Germany. All formalities for entering Germany are handled centrally to help students deal with public authorities once they are in the country. Staff also help students find appropriate accommodation if needed.
To ensure that students settle into the unfamiliar environment as quickly and easily as possible, they are offered all kinds of assistance, for example with opening a bank account, taking out the right kind of medical insurance and buying tickets for public transport.
Academic studies are accompanied by visits and excursions. Other study-related measures include finding internships for especially talented students, enabling them to gain an insight into German culture, everyday life and, in particular, business life.
